2028 (Southam) Squadron

Royal Air Force Air Cadets

Silver D of E Expedition September 2017

02 Sep 2017

During the weekend 1st to the 3rd September 2017 Cadets from both 2028 Squadron and neighbouring 497 Daventry Squadron went on a Silver D of E Expedition based from Wolvey in North Warwickshire. The Cadets navigated well on the Friday and started the Saturday in misty conditions which soon turned into bright blue skies and quite warm walking weather.

Having had a restful second night the final day, Sunday brought cloudy skies with the suggestion of rain but everyone was well prepared and completed the navigation in good time near to Coombe Abbey on the Warwickshire Coventry border.

NOTE - As an Air Cadet you can achieve all levels of the Duke of Edinburghs Award up to Gold with the right skills and dedication. We will train you and then its down to you to put your newly found ability into action!
