Sibling Success at 2028 Squadron

24 Oct 2017

On Monday the 23rd October, 2017 2028 Squadron's two Top Cadets undertook a Teaching assessment called an MOI with the Wing Training Officer. As a result they both passed their Teaching Practice and were awarded their yellow lanyards, a symbol of the teaching qualification.

On final parade the OC Flt Lt Moreton presented Flight Sergeant and Sgt Kimberley with their lanyards.

He then further sarprised FS Anna Kimberley by presenting her with her appointment as a Cadet Warrant Officer, the highest rank an Air Cadet can hold. Sergeant Amie Kimberley, her sister, was then promoted to Flight Sergeant in front of the assembled Squadron.

Everyone at 2028 wishes both Staff Cadets every success on their promotions and award of their yellow lanyards.

NOTE - Young people joining the Air Cadets who give their time and dedication to achieving success can reach the highest rank but it requires skill, knowledge and effort to be as good as these two fine examples of what the RAFAC can produce.
